Tapping Therapy is Fundamental
to My Spiritual Counselling

Tapping therapy is like an emotional erasure. It is fun and easy to learn. I both teach and use it. It is refreshing to offer a tool that has obvious, immediate effects.

Face Your Worst Fears

Imagine facing your worst fears - those fears that hold you back from being all you can be. Imagine a simple technique you can learn and you can use anywhere. That is tapping therapy. I use the basic EFT© (Emotional Freedom Techniques) model. It involves gently tapping certain specific areas of the body while being very focused on whatever intense negative feelings you wish to change.

Everything in the world is an expression of energyYou can see why tapping is an important tool to offer you in my role as a spiritual counsellor.

I continue to use it myself on any negative situation that I have yet to clear in my life. It has helped erase intense impatience when a project I was working on was delayed and delayed and delayed, yet again. I am truly grateful for it.

Take Tapping Therapy with you

Phone sessions are ideal situations to use tapping therapy. You need only one free hand to apply it. The act of tapping does not interrupt the flow of your sharing. In fact, you are encouraged to continue focusing on the event you want to change your feelings about while applying the technique.

Tapping therapy lowers or erases the strength of the negative feelings, allowing you to look at the upset from a different perspective. After using this technique for awhile, you become less afraid of intense emotion - emotions that you once avoided.

She felt justified

I worked with one person who was feeling betrayed and angry with a spouse. She felt justified in her intense fury. She told me that nothing could change her mind about what he had done to her. She thought she could never love him again but only feel disgust. Forgiveness was not something she wanted. Her session with me was to get over him and get on with her life.

I briefly taught her to tap as she continued to angrily share about the situation. Within moments, she felt a shift; a lessening of anger, even though I was encouraging her to review the events that brought up her intense feelings.

After a few rounds of tapping, she tried to recall her negative feelings but they were gone. She was free of them. Letting go of the past is vital to feeling peaceful and happy. Whether she wanted to stay in her marriage or not would be a decision she could make with clarity.

Forgiveness is a fundamental aspect of living spiritually. Removing the intense negativity of a situation, makes it seem possible. Tapping therapy can do this.

Once the negative emotion is freed, it is replaced with neutrality.

I have noticed in spiritual counseling sessions that once the negative emotion is freed, it is replaced with neutrality. The situation, that just a moment before brought up so much negativity, anguish or fear, now carries insights.

Tapping therapy is a handy tool. I offer many others in my role as a spiritual counsellor, but this is a fundamental one for erasing intense negative feelings. Consider learning and applying it.
